First Fully Electric 4×4 Vehicles Rolled Out in Samoa, Powering Local Communities in partnership with Ford Hyundai Samoa and the United Nations Development Program.
BOSSCAP Group through its subsidiary AUSEV are proud to announce their groundbreaking involvement in the 2024 Commonwealth Heads of Government Meeting (CHOGM) in Samoa. Taking the global stage by storm, AUSEV is rolling out the first-ever fully electric 4×4 ute vehicles into Samoa, marking a significant milestone in the transition to sustainable transportation and energy solutions.
The F-150 Lightning, a cutting-edge, fully electric 4×4 vehicle, is the start of the initiative. Not only will these vehicles be in use throughout the CHOGM event, supporting key logistical
efforts, but their advanced battery technology also holds the potential to benefit the local Samoan community long after the event concludes.
In a historic first for Samoa, the F-150 Lightning’s battery system has the capability to power homes in village communities for up to a week, bringing clean, reliable energy to areas that may otherwise face energy shortages. This initiative highlights the vehicle’s versatility beyond just transportation, it’s a source of power and sustainability for the region.
Edward Kocwa, CEO of Bosscap Group, said, “We’re thrilled to showcase the power of Australian innovation on the global stage at CHOGM, while also making a lasting impact on the local communities in Samoa. The F-150 Lightning’s unique battery technology aligns perfectly with our vision of sovereignty and sustainability for the Pacific region.”
The project exemplifies AUSEV’s commitment to using renewable energy and innovative vehicle technologies to empower communities, support local development, and reduce reliance on fossil fuels. With plans to continue rolling out the F-150 Lightning in other Pacific Island nations, this initiative is a key part of AUSEV’s broader strategy to promote sustainability and economic development across the Pacific.
This collaboration between AUSEV and Ford Hyundai Samoa along with the Samoan government underscores the critical role Australian businesses can play in driving positive environmental and social change.
